Dear Players and Parents,

This is the last informational email going out about Saturday's Philly Showcase, if you are receiving this you or your son is registered to participate in the event. We could not be more excited about the group of players we have coming on Saturday, and college coach registration for the event is running even higher than last year when we had 58 of the nation's then-62 Division I programs in attendance and over 150 overall NCAA programs in attendance.

This email contains important information about the event. Please review carefully:

	Rosters

Rosters for Saturday will be posted shortly on PhillyLacrosse.com, we have also attached them HERE. Please take a second to review your team assignment. We have also attached a convenient alphabetical player index to easily find which team you are on. NOTE - if you were one of the very last players to register off the wait list you may not show up on these rosters - DON'T WORRY, you will be on the final version available Saturday and distributed to the college coaches in attendance.

	Registration & Schedule

Please see the attached event schedule for all information. Registration for the Philly Boys Showcase will take place between 7-8am at the registration tent. We have to register a lot of players in a short amount of time, so please try to get there on the early side. At registration you will receive a Showcase bag containing your reversible jersey, a credentials badge, a schedule and other important information. After registration you will get a headshot taken, and then meet up with your team and coach for warmups.

	King of The X

At the request of attending college coaches we have a new feature this year. At the conclusion of the morning games and prior to the announcement of the all-star rosters, we will hold a King of The X face-off challenge on the Stadium Field. All players who pre-registered to take face-offs at the Showcase have been selected to participate in the King of The X contest. We expect this face-off competition to be keenly observed by coaches. A list of players invited to participate in the King of The X is available HERE. As marked on the general schedule, if you wish to participate please come to the Stadium Field (Field G) immediately at the conclusion of the last morning games which end at 1:50pm.

Finally, the previous informational email we sent out is reprinted in full below for your reference. We can't wait to see everyone on Saturday!

	Dear Players and Parents,

If you are receiving this email you (or your son) are registered to play in the Philly Showcase on Saturday, November 17. First, congratulations on being part of the event and thanks for registering. We have an excellent group of players lined up from all across the United States and Canada.

This email contains information you will need in the weeks leading up to the Philly Showcase. Please review carefully and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

	Event Schedule

The Philly Showcase takes place at Episcopal Academy (EA), which is located at 1785 Bishop White Drive, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania 19073. Directions to EA are available HERE. There is plenty of available parking at EA, and once you enter EA you will see signs pointing towards parking, registration and the fields. The complete event schedule will be sent out on Tuesday November 13. We will also issue a complete game schedule and detailed map of the EA campus at that time.

The week before the Showcase we will post event rosters, coaching assignments, and schedules. Registration on Saturday morning is currently scheduled to take place between 7-8am. Following registration players will meet with their teams and coaches for a coaching session and a team warm up. Morning games will then begin around 8:30am. Rosters and schedule information will be posted prior to the event. Morning games will conclude around 1pm. During one of the game breaks players will have a skills clinic which in the past has been run by professional lacrosse players. There will then be a lunch break followed by a 2015 Fab Forty game and 2014 Fab Forty game.

	All Star Evaluations

The Philly Showcase will have two All-Star games: a 2015 game followed by a 2014 game.

Selecting all-stars is the hardest part of any showcase. There is no perfect way to do it but we make every effort to be transparent and fair.

We have two all-star evaluators at each field watch every game and assign a numerical grade to every player. These evaluators are prominent local or former coaches and they are instructed to disregard any particular info they may have about a player, past performance, reputation, etc etc. The only thing we consider for our all-star games is who plays the best on Saturday. We collect these reports after each game and compile the results. The player grades for the three morning games are evenly taken into account when calculating all-stars. At the end of the morning games we tally the top scoring players and announce the all-stars.

Facilities & Amenities

The Philly Showcase will take place on seven fields at Episcopal Academy, on two outdoor turf fields and five beautiful grass fields. Players should come with proper dress to play both on turf and grass. Also please note that we have a rain schedule in place so we are on rain or shine.

The Philly Showcase will feature state certified referees and trainers on every field. There will be full concessions available at the event, though participants and families are also welcome to bring their own drinks, snacks and meals. Please note grills and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited at EA.

	Medical Form

All players MUST BRING THEIR COMPLETED MEDICAL FORM WITH THEM TO REGISTRATION. There will be NO exceptions to this policy. The form is available HERE.

	Refunds

Pursuant to our refund policy, please note that the deadline for refunds was October 1. At this time, we will process refunds for documented medical reasons only.

	Video

All games from the Philly Showcase will be professionally filmed and a video package from Krossover is available for all players. Most of you purchased the Krossover video package when you registered. If you did not and wish to purchase video you still can at this link. The video package is $100 when purchased prior to the event and $175 at or after the event. You can advance purchase this personalized package of complete video footage from all your games, as well as a complete set of indexed HD video clips which may easily be turned into a highlight reel and shared with others. You can learn more about Krossover and its lacrosse video packages HERE.

	Hotel Accommodations

For those of you traveling from out of town, we have partnered with several local hotels to offer reduced rates for event participants. Many of the options include free wifi, parking and breakfast. More information on booking hotels is HERE . Please note that we offer this hotel service only as a convenience for attending families and that you are not required to stay at one of our partner hotels in order to participate. You are welcome to make your own hotel plans outside of our system.

	College Coaches

We have had many of you asking which college coaches will be in attendance this year. Virtually every major college program in the country has made arrangements to attend the showcase. Attached please find our college coach sign in sheet from last year.

If you have not done so, you should immediately send brief note to the coaching staff of all the schools your are interested in informing them of your participation in the Philly Showcase. Rosters will be provided in advance to pre-registered coaches allowing them to pinpoint players on their watch list.

We can't wait to see all of you at EA on Saturday, November 17. If you have any questions leading up to the event please feel free to contact me anytime.

	Best Regards,

NXTsports Become Exclusive Operator of Boy’s Lacrosse Programming at United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, PA

NXTsports and United Sports are happy to announce a new partnership under which NXTsports shall become the exclusive operator of boys’ lacrosse programming & events at the United Sports Training Center.

United Sports is comprised of a 127,000 square foot indoor training facility, as well a 60-acre outdoor sports complex featuring eleven professional grade athletic fields, all located right off of the Route 30 Bypass in Downingtown, PA, one of the regions fastest growing lacrosse markets. NXTsports has established itself as one of the nation’s leaders in lacrosse educational and training programs, and in running first-rate lacrosse events.

Under the partnership NXT will immediately launch its Cradle Lacrosse skill development program for 4-7 year olds, and its Trashcan Lacrosse skill development programs, clinics and camps for 7-14 year olds at United Sports. NXT will also be offering a range of skill development clinics for high school age players. Finally, NXT will direct the new, elite Philly Summer Invitational at United Sports next summer, a weekend lacrosse tournament featuring some of the best high school age lacrosse clubs from all over North America.

Said Andy Hayes, President of NXTsports, “United Sports is an incredible sports complex located in a fast-growing lacrosse market. We are incredibly excited to become the exclusive boy’s lacrosse operator there, and look forward to working with the United Sports team.”

“When you combine NXTsports’ lacrosse-specific expertise with United Sports tremendous experience running and marketing events in many different sports, we believe there is amazing potential in this partnership.”

The first marquee event launched under this partnership is the aforementioned NXT Summer Invitational taking place July 13-14, 2013 at United Sports. This tournament is modeled after the NXT Fall Invitational which is part of NXT’s Philly Showcase weekend and has become one of the biggest draws during the November lacrosse recruiting season. The Summer Invitational will be kept small and elite, with limited spots available in four different age divisions – rising seniors (2014s), rising juniors (2015s), rising sophomores (2016s), and rising ninth-graders (2017s). Already some of the very best clubs in the nation have committed to attend, including Long Island Express, Laxachusetts, Top Gun Fighting Clams, Team Carolina, HEADstrong, Mesa Fresh, NH Tomahawks, NXT L.C., CT Chargers, and Team Long Island.

Added Andy Hayes, “the United Sports venue is absolutely ideal for an elite exposure lacrosse tournament and will allow us to run an event that exceeds expectations of all participants. With ten fields at United Sports in a compact layout, great sightlines, and on-site parking, this tournament will be highly convenient for players, families, clubs and especially for college coaches, who will quickly and easily be able to move around and evaluate all of the great teams in action at the event.”

NXTsports, Directors of the Philly Boys and Girls Showcases, Will Hold the Midwest’s First-Ever Major Showcase Event at Detroit Country Day School in November, 2012

NXTsports is proud to announce the launch of the Can-Am Showcase. The inaugural version of the Can-Am Showcase will take place the weekend of November 10-11, 2012 at Detroit Country Day School (DCDS) in Beverly Hills, Michigan. The 2012 Can-Am Showcase will be overseen and directed by Byron Collins, Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at DCDS.

The inaugural Can-Am Showcase will begin with an individual competition on Saturday, November 10, which will feature elite high school boy’s lacrosse players in the graduating classes of 2013, 2014 and 2015. The name of the event – The Can-Am Showcase – reflects the fact that the event will include elite players from both the United States and from across Canada, particularly the lacrosse hotbed of Southern Ontario. All the players will be divided onto teams, each coached by a prominent high school coach, and will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the college coaches in attendance. The Saturday competition will be capped by a series of afternoon Fab-Forty all-star games. Players selected by the all-star evaluators will compete in all-star games that will take place inside Detroit Country Day School’s full-field indoor fieldhouse. All games at the Can-Am Showcase will be filmed in HD, and complete video packages along with indexed video clips will be available to all participating athletes.

The Can-Am Showcase will continue with an elite team competition on Sunday, November 11, at which top club teams from the United States and throughout Canada will be in competition in front of the attending college coaches.

The Can-Am Showcase event model is based on NXTsports’ highly regarded Philly Boys Showcase, which has emerged as the top showcase event of the November evaluation period. The 2011 Philly Boys Showcase featured 550 players from 29 states and provinces in competition at Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, PA, and was attended by over 150 college coaches, including 58 of the 62 NCAA Division I programs.

Said Andy Hayes, President of NXT Sports, “We have worked hard for a long time to make the Can-Am Showcase a reality, and are very excited to partner with Detroit Country Day School and Coach Collins. The sport of lacrosse has grown far beyond the traditional East Coast markets, and we feel that DCDS, aside from being an amazing venue, is in the perfect location to attract top talent from around the U.S. and from across Canada.”

The Can-Am Showcase will take place at Detroit Country Day School’s state-of-the-art athletic complex located at the Upper School campus at the corner of Lahser and West 13 Mile Road in Beverly Hills, MI. As the host school, DCDS reflects NXTsports’ commitment to holding events solely at elite venues. The Can-Am Showcase will take place at DCDS’ outdoor stadium and inside DCDS’ full-field indoor fieldhouse, both of which are equipped with state-of-the-art field turf. The event will also incorporate additional athletic fields at DCDS, all located within walking distance for ease of players and spectators.

“Detroit Country Day School is proud to host the inaugural NXTsports Can-Am Showcase in our state-of-the-art facilities,” said Glen Shilling, headmaster for Detroit Country Day School. “As one of the original schools to bring lacrosse to Michigan, we have had a long tradition of promoting competitive lacrosse. We are eager to welcome participants, fans and coaches to this exciting event in the fall.”

NXTsports, directors of the Philly Showcase Event Series, are proud to announce the Philly Showcase Camp summer schedule for 2012. The inaugural Philly Boys Showcase Camp will take place June 15-17, 2012, at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA, and the second annual Philly Girls Showcase Camp will take place July 17-19, 2012 at Haverford College in Haverford, PA.

The Philly Showcase Camps are based on two principles – Education and Exposure.

First, Education: each Showcase Camp will feature a staff of 12-16 prominent college coaches who are there because they enjoy educating, coaching and working with players to improve their games. The Camps will also feature educational seminars off the field on topics including the college recruitment process, NCAA rules, strength training, and nutrition.

Second, Exposure: each Showcase Camps are designed to allow participants to showcase their abilities in front of the college coaches through game play and small-group instructional sessions.

Said Peter Lawrence, Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at the University of Hartford and co-director of the 2012 Philly Boys Showcase Camp, “the Philly Showcase Camps came about because there are coaches out there – myself included - who want to help high school players achieve their college lacrosse goals. I believe that players will have a greater likelihood of achieving their goals by attending a camp where they are educated on all aspects of the college process, not just thrown into games without learning anything of use.”

Philly Showcase Camp participants lacrosse will leave better educated not just on the lacrosse field, but also better educated about the college recruitment process, NCAA rules, strength training, and nutrition. Campers will additionally have the experience of living on a college campus and experiencing for a few days the life of a college lacrosse player.

As you know, the 2011 Philly Boys Showcase is taking place on Saturday, November 19. This email contains important information about the event and about our communication schedule leading up to the event.

		ROSTERS/GAME SCHEDULE

The team rosters and the final game schedule for the Philly Boys Showcase will be released this Friday. The rosters and schedule will first be available on our media partner, PhillyLacrosse.com. We will also email them to all participants in our final email early next week (discussed below) and put them on our website.

		FINAL EMAIL

We will be sending a final email to all participants and parents early next week. We are aiming for Tuesday, and it will be Wednesday at the latest. That email will include a detailed map of the venue and detailed directions and parking information. It will review registration procedures and the couple of things you need to bring to the event. It will also review the free video of all games that will be provided to all participants and describe how that process will work.

		WEATHER POLICY

The Philly Showcase is going to occur rain or shine. Just for your information, in the highly unfortunate event that we get heavy rain the day of the event and the natural surface fields at Episcopal Academy become unplayable, the Philly Showcase will enact its weather contingency plan. All games will be moved to the turf fields at Episcopal and all teams will be guaranteed a minimum of two games.

		REFUND POLICY

The Philly Showcase is completely full at this time and all player data is in the process of being sent to press to create the program book for college coaches. At this time we cannot fill any additional spots off the wait list and are thus unable to process any refunds except for documented medical conditions.

		TEXT ALERT

We ask all players and attending parents to register for the Philly Showcase text alert system by texting "2011SHOWCASE" to 84483. We have found texting to be the most effective method of communication during events, and will use the system to keep everyone updated about schedule, parking, and weather issues should they arise.

Finally, we are very excited for this event and to host all of you. We believe the group of players participating on Saturday the 19th represents one of the best collections of high school lacrosse talent ever put together.

If you have any other questions please check the site or email us.

		See you at the event,

Dear Philly Girls Showcase participants and parents,

The Philly Girls Showcase is this Saturday, November 5! This is your final pre-event email and it contains important information about day of event procedures, so please review carefully!

Location

The Philly Girls Showcase is taking place on Saturday, November 5 at the Westtown School. Directions to Westtown School are available at: http://www.westtown.edu/directions/directions.aspx.

The main entrance of the Westtown School is located at 975 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA 19382. HOWEVER, all participants must enter campus at the school's South Entrance to school. The GPS address for the Westtown School South Entrance is 999 Westtown Road, West Chester, PA 19382.

We have attached an event-specific campus map to this email. All participants and families may park in the blue lots. As you enter campus at the South Entrance parking staff will be present to guide you to the proper parking lots.

Registration

Registration will begin at 7:00 AM sharp in the registration tent, which is marked on the attached map. Please note that we have to register many players between 7:00 and 8:00am, so try to get there as close to 7:00 AM as possible. All players MUST BRING THE COMPLETED MANDATORY MEDICAL FORM WITH THEM TO REGISTRATION. There will be no exceptions to this policy. We have attached another copy of the medical form to this email.

At registration each player will receive a complimentary event backpack containing her numbered reversible for the event, a credentials badge, a copy of her team roster and schedule, and other goodies. Please note that we will be taking a photo of each player at registration.

Schedule/Rosters

Following registration players will be separated into their teams for morning warmups and games. The Philly Showcase rosters and the final morning game schedule are attached to this email. Please note that the roster document has ten teams listed on it, you must scroll down through the document to view all the teams.

Morning games will conclude by around 1pm. There will then be a lunch break and a skills clinic. During this break Showcase Lacrosse will publish rosters for the afternoon deBeer Lacrosse Fab Forty all-star games. The all-star games will begin around 1:30 and conclude by 4pm.

All-Star Selections

The Philly Girls Showcase will have two afternoon all-star games. The first game will be the 2012/2013 all-star game, and the second all-star game will be the 2014/2015 all-star game.

Selecting all-stars is the hardest part of any Showcase event. There is no perfect way to do it, but this is what we do. We assign two evaluators to watch every game, those evaluators are prominent and highly experienced local girls lacrosse coaches. They assign a numerical grade to every player in every game. As the event progresses we collect these reports and compile the scores. At the end of the morning we tally the top-scoring players and announce the all-stars.

Clothes/Weather/Food

All players will receive a custom event tank reversible to wear during games. It is highly recommended that players check the weather in advance and otherwise dress appropriately. The weather forecast for this weekend is excellent, sunny and in the 50s, but it will still be very cold when games begin in the morning so come prepared.

Westtown School will be operating a concessions stand throughout the day with a full and varied menu, though players and spectators are certainly welcome to bring their own snacks, meals and drinks. Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited from campus.

If you have any other questions please check the site and always feel free to email us.

See you at the event,
