The 2012 Can-Am Showcase

Event Dates

The 2012 Can-Am Showcase is scheduled for November 10-11, 2012.  Schedule details are as follows:

  • Saturday, November 10 - The Can-Am Showcase will begin with an individual competition for elite boy's high school lacrosse players in the graduation classes of 2013, 2014 and 2015.  All the players will be divided onto teams, each coached by a prominent high school coach, and will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the college coaches in attendance.  All players will play in a minimum of three games throughout the morning and early afternoon.  The Saturday competition will be capped by a series of afternoon Fab-Forty all-star games.  Players selected by the all-star evaluators will compete in all-star games that will take place inside Detroit Country Day School’s full-field indoor fieldhouse.  Interested players may REGISTER for the Can-Am Showcase.
  • Sunday, November 11 - The Can-Am showcase will continue with elite, invitation-based team competition.  Top club teams from the United States and throughout Canada will be in competition in front of the attending college coaches.

Players interested in participating in the 2012 Can-Am Showcase may REGISTER.  

Coaches, we are also accepting player nominations for the Can-Am Showcase, if you have eligible high-school age players interested in playing college lacrosse, please NOMINATE them so that we may send them information about the event. 

The Can-Am Showcase is Based on The Philly Boys Showcase 

NXTsports, the directors of the Can-Am Showcase, have a track record of running the best lacrosse events in the country.  The Can-Am Showcase event model is based on NXTsports’ highly regarded Philly Boys Showcase, which has emerged as the top showcase event of the November evaluation period.  The 2011 Philly Boys Showcase featured 550 players from 29 states and provinces in competition at Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, PA, and was attended by over 150 college coaches, including 58 of the 62 NCAA Division I programs.

Can-Am Showcase Bulletpoint Highlights

  • The Can-Am Showcase model is based on NXTsports Philly Boys Showcase; in 2011 the Philly Boys Showcase was attended by over 150 College Coaches representing NCAA Division I, II, and III

  • All games at the Can-Am Showcase will be professionally filmed in HD, complete video packets and indexed video clips will be available to all participating athletes

  • The 2012 Can-Am Showcase open to high school boy's lacrosse players in classes of 2013, 2014 and 2015

  • Premier Athletic Facilities (both turf and natural grass fields) at the elite host venue, Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, MI

  • 3 Games Guaranteed (10v10) plus "Fab Forty" afternoon All-Star Games for selected players

  • All games refereed by certified officials

  • Multiple Certified Athletic Trainers on site
